Situated on a privileged site in a quiet residential area of the lovely town of Angaston, Marble Lodge is a luxury fully hosted retreat, a "Special Place". The totally self-contained B&B Lodge which opened on 1st of January, 1995, was built of local white marble, with many of the features and luxurious splendour of our imposing Federation style home. Built well back from the street on a 6 acre estate, the beautiful B&B Lodge is in a superb setting among lofty trees in the lovely garden just behind the homestead, where pampered guests enjoy plush furnishings, antiques, intricately carved French polished furniture, tranquil surroundings, and total privacy with views.Barossa Valley accommodation, bed and breakfast, accommdation  Barossa Valley, bed and breakfastbed and breakfastbed and breakfastbed and breakfast

Marble Lodge offers the best location, best accommodation and best value for money, for 2 "special couples". We do not cater for children. Even those "well off" want value for money! Do check around, but bookmark this site first, then compare our B&B, our property and our rates.

Angaston has become known as "the Foodies Town of the Barossa" - there are many good restaurants in the town who serve excellent meals at affordable prices, all are licensed, also BYO.  Three are within walking distance, others are mere minutes away by car (we will take you if we are available), with good taxi service or transfer available if you prefer not to drive after enjoying a favourite wine.

Angaston main street has lots to offer our visitors, including a few surprises!barossa valley accommodation barossa valley accommodation barossa valley accommodation

Gemstones are facetted at Birthstones, a goldsmith hand-crafts fine jewellery, both have treasures for sale from their respective premises.  Two interesting book shops sell both new and antique books.  We've two Pubs, and Angaston has its own Cheese making factory with sales counter.  Early on Saturday mornings, the popular Barossa Produce Markets sell an extensive variety of Barossa produced food including meats, fruit, jams, cakes and biscuits, herbs, olive oils etc. etc.

Relax with a massage in the privacy of your own room from 'Healing Hands Mobile Massage'.

Angas Park Dried Fruit factory outlet offer an endless variety of the best dried fruit you will buy anywhere.

Play golf?  Just a 14 minute drive to the superb Barossa Valley Golf Club.  A 6026 metre par 72 course with and ACT rating of 70.8 metres, the tees are generous and well made.  A delightful bush country setting irrigated from their own water bores, this spacious golf course can give a feeling of truly "being away from it all".  Golf sets and carts are available for hire.  For golfing enquiries, phone between 9.00am and 5.00pm weekdays, or after 7.00am on weekends, (08) 8562-1589.Barossa Valley accommodation, bed and breakfast, accommdation  Barossa Valley

We have around 60 wineries in the Barossa, including Angaston's family owned Yalumba Winery on the edge of town, Salters, Henschke, Thorn Clark, Smallfry and A Taste of Eden are all in or near the town.  barossa valley accommodation barossa valley accommodation barossa valley accommodation

We recommend the Heritage Walk of Angaston, numerous other walks in and near the town, and interesting drives in the "high country" nearby, and just ten minutes away is a splendid bush walking trail through the Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park - the famous Heysen Trail cuts across one side of it. Scenery throughout the area is superb. barossa valley accommodation barossa valley accommodation barossa valley accommodation

There are so many things visitors can do and see in this area. The Barossa Valley is famous for its gourmet food and fine wines, it really is a shame not to spend at least several days here so you can see and experience some of South Australia's loveliest countryside. Ideally, make Marble Lodge your "base" for a few days, consider taking day trips to Clare Valley (another famous wine district 1 hour away), historic Burra (2 hours) or to the vast areas of irrigated oranges, stone fruits and vines of the Riverland (1 hour).

Marble Lodge was built in 1914 -15 of locally mined pink, grey and white marble, and enjoys a spectacular setting with views through the trees in all directions, overlooking the lovely village of Angaston and down through the valley to Nuriootpa. The property consists of 6 acres in total, with 2 acres of delightful gardens. The homestead and B&B Lodge are set well back from the road ensuring complete quiet and privacy. Consider coming for a night or more, enjoy the clean air, the peace and romance, and waken to the morning chorus of the many lovely birds who live in our garden. All this is just one hours drive from Adelaide - in the hills and and heart of the Barossa Valley.Barossa Valley accommodation, bed and breakfast, accommdation  Barossa Valley
